Our head office is in Grafton House, Ipswich, but our work takes us across the East Anglian region with key locations including Ipswich, Suffolk, Colchester, Essex, Norfolk and Chelmsford. We are flexible in how we work and can offer a job that suits you best. Depending on your role, you may work at our head offices, a local venue or on-site at an exciting event.

As we offer a diverse range of opportunities, the type of person we are looking for may depend on the specific vacancy and whether it involves working on the frontline or behind the scenes. We are a large team covering all kinds of security scenarios, so first and foremost, we seek team players who thrive when working with others. You must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, including local authorities and emergency services, as well as work independently. Communication is vital in this sector to the successful planning and execution of events, so we are looking for people with strong verbal and written communication skills.
We believe in providing a firm yet friendly approach when engaging with the public. Our frontline roles are customer-facing positions and therefore require excellent people skills and customer service. You must maintain a calm, robust demeanour when de-escalating problematic situations. Guards need excellent observation skills to identify risks and control threats before they get out of hand. We want people with honesty and integrity who will represent Stage Security in a positive light when working on behalf of our clients, whether promoting friendly interactions with customers or keeping sites secure.
We are looking for driven and committed individuals keen to grow and succeed within the security sector. You should be flexible in your approach and willing to work outside of usual hours to attend to business activities. Our line of work is constantly evolving, so we appreciate those who can adapt. Security experience and an SIA licence may not necessarily be required at the time of applying. If you are eager to learn, we will help you obtain the licences, training and skills you need to succeed with us.
Security guards must be excellent at dealing with tense situations and resolving conflicts. We want personnel who can deal with almost any scenario, using a firm but calm approach to quickly bring escalating concerns under control. Guards may encounter anything from disputes to anti-social behaviour, intoxicated people and demonstrations. Conflict resolution is essential for maintaining safety and order while ensuring the company acts professionally and in line with legal and ethical requirements. We will offer training in conflict resolution, but natural skills and previous experience in this area are beneficial. If you are adept at resolving tense situations, we would be happy to discuss how you can support Stage Security.
While our main offices are based in the cutting-edge town of Ipswich, Suffolk, Stage Security is delighted to support businesses across the United Kingdom with our range of professional security services. Some of the locations we can cover include Ipswich, Essex, Cambridge, Norfolk, Colchester, Chelmsford, and Southend-on-Sea, to name just a few key areas across the East Anglian region. By working for us, you can expect to work on-site at any of our clients’ premises, from beautiful Essex to historic Colchester. We will inform you at the time of appointment whether you are expected to work in Ipswich or elsewhere. Some of our services are more limited to the local area, while other offerings, such as events and festivals, can take place further afield.
