Let’s start with a much-loved event… live music concerts! Live gigs can be such a thrilling and engaging experience. It is the perfect opportunity to get up close with your favourite artists and listen to their music in person. Concerts are all about meeting up with friends, letting your hair down and dancing and singing the night away without a care in the world. They are undoubtedly one of our funniest events to cover! We’ve provided security for live performances from several well-known artists, including pop star Paloma Faith. At a sold-out show at the Ipswich Regent Theatre, we ensured that everyone enjoyed the concert without any issues. After the show, we escorted her to meet fans for signings and pictures.
We’ve also provided security for live performances from Ed Sheeran, who was a pleasure to work with! The show was so popular at Ipswich Chantry Park that extra dates had to be added – to date, it is one of our biggest events ever!
Events involving sports can always be tricky due to their size and competitive nature, but we’ve never let that get in our way. For example, we have previously worked on the Suffolk Women’s Cycle Tour, a large-scale cycling competition comprising a whopping 370 miles across five stages over five days. With famous athletes such as Dame Sarah Storey and Olympic champion Laura Trott, the event attracted plenty of attention and saw hundreds of spectators attend each day. We created safe conditions for all and ensured limited disruption to the local community, leading to a successful race screened to millions on Sky Sports.
When London hosted the Olympics in 2012, the Olympic torch relay passed through Ipswich, and we had the pleasure of providing a security plan and managing the huge crowds. With an incredible 75,000 spectators turning up along the route, we ensured the smooth running of the event to make sure that as many people as possible could see the touch while keeping safe. We’ve also provided security for the Spedeworth Motorsports Spedeweekend campsite and the Corbeau Rally.
There should be no doubt that festivals are one of our most popular events. Festivals are similar to concerts and offer the same benefits of live music, but attendees can enjoy diverse performances from more acts throughout the course of the day. For example, we’ve worked on Ipswich Music Day, Ipswich’s largest annual music festival at Christchurch Park. With six stages, a children’s fairground, and food and craft stalls, the event usually attracts around 50,000 people. Another Ipswich event that we’ve provided security for is the Ipswich Maritime Festival, an annual event at the town’s gorgeous waterfront. Again, there is usually attractions, live entertainment, market stalls, a pop-up museum, and the arrival of sailing yachts. Throughout the event, we maintained a friendly point of contact and ensured fun for the whole family.
Ipswich’s Alexandra Park is home to the 1 Big Multicultural Festival, an annual event that attracts an estimated 8,000 visitors of all faiths and backgrounds. The festival combines live music and dance, international food, sports competition including Kabaddi, and more than 50 stalls. We helped the event to earn a positive reputation and provide fun for people of all ages. Other festivals we’ve worked on include the LeeStock Music Festival, Suffolk Show and Suffolk Pride.

Theatres and cinemas are always a great place to enjoy live productions and classic films in a way that you cannot experience at home. We’ve worked with several venues, including the stunning Ipswich Regent Theatre, to provide a range of security solutions. We’ve also worked with open-air cinemas which showed classics films such as Mamma Mia and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Air shows are another type of event that we can provide security for. We’ve previously provided security for the Clacton Air Show, an annual two-day event that takes place at the beautiful Clacton seafront. With an estimated 200,000 visitors, this large show demonstrates live performances from some of the most incredible aircraft – including the iconic Red Arrows! We worked with the organisers to help deliver maximum support in the form of event security.
Finally, we come to carnivals! Pretty much everyone loves a good carnival. Kids love all the entertainment that is on offer while we adults are attracted to the nostalgia. Carnivals are always bursting with an exciting atmosphere, wonderful food and thrilling attractions. One of the carnivals we’ve worked with in the past Is the Aldeburgh Carnival, an award-winning seaside carnival in Suffolk.
