Our event security team ensured the successful running of multiple events at Wherstead Park, a Grade-II listed Georgian mansion nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. It is one of East Anglia's most popular and versatile venues for weddings, conferences, events, parties and filming. In addition to being the headquarters for the Co-op Group, it houses many other businesses on-site.
Ipswich’s annual Music in the Park festival (also known as Ipswich Music Day) takes place on the first Sunday of July each year. One of the largest, free, one-day music events in the country, it is held at Christchurch Park. Stage Security was approached by the organisers and asked to provide on-site security. The organisers wanted to develop a robust site security plan that would minimise public risk and make provision for issues such as lost persons/property, first aid, and potential access by emergency service vehicles.
Launched in 2014, The Women's Tour is an international team cycling competition that covers almost 600km (370 miles) over five stages on consecutive days. Our brief was to provide safe start and finish conditions for the racers, a task that entailed working in 10 towns across East Anglia. We developed effective, location-specific crowd-control strategies and created secure areas for vehicles, bicycles, and competitors before and after each stage.
The Riverside Centre is a popular licensed venue in Chelmsford, offering a variety of events and leisure pursuits. We provide effective door supervision and venue security consultancy.
Back in 2012, in readiness for the London Olympics, a variety of athletes, celebrities and ordinary citizens carried the Olympic Torch the length of Britain. It passed through Ipswich on 5th July, watched by an estimated 75,000 spectators. Ahead of the event, the organisers contacted Stage Security and asked us to provide a security plan for the route through the town and into the neighbouring park. They also required support on the day, helping to manage crowds and keep both the torch and the runners safe.
