It’s our way of recognising the team members who go above and beyond, who set the tone, and who make the job look effortless. But what exactly is the Centre Stage Award?
Centre Stage is Stage Security’s monthly award that highlights one team member who’s made a real impact. It’s a genuine thank you for their dedication and an acknowledgement of their exceptional contributions to the squad’s success and our company values.
Choosing an ‘Employee of the Month’ has a bigger impact than most people realise. It lifts morale across the team, shows that hard work is noticed, and encourages others to aim higher. When someone’s effort is recognised, it sends a clear message: what you do matters. Over time, this creates a culture where everybody takes pride in their role and stays consistent in how they show up.
From a business point of view, it’s smart too. People are more likely to stick around when they feel valued, which helps with staff retention. And when clients see a team that’s motivated, professional, and clearly respected by their employer, it reflects well on the whole operation.
‘Centre Stage’ is a team effort. Each month, employees and clients are invited to vote for the individuals who’ve stood out. The person with the most votes is named the winner, but every nomination is celebrated. It’s never an easy decision. The results are often close, which reflects just how many people are making a difference every day.
The best part of ‘Centre Stage’ is seeing just how many people are doing brilliant work day in, day out. Here’s a look at who’s stepped into the spotlight so far.
Luke’s name came up more than once, unsurprisingly. As a supervisor, he’s steady, switched on, and always looking out for the team. His leadership stood out across the board, and those around him made sure that effort didn’t go unnoticed.
Steph has been a standout at the Apex Theatre. She’s got a natural way with people and keeps things running smoothly, even on the busiest nights. Customers and the client alike praised her approach, and it’s easy to see why.
In May, it was Kelly’s turn to take ‘Centre Stage’. When a fire broke out on one of our sites, she acted quickly, brought in the right emergency services, and kept everything under control. It was a textbook example of staying calm when it matters most.
